Special issue information:

Climate change is intensifying pressures on oceans and coastal regions, including sea-level rise, erosion, and increasingly severe extreme weather. These impacts pose significant risks to ecosystems, economies, and social systems, requiring policy responses grounded not only in science but also in equity, adaptability, and cultural resilience. As single-disciplinary approaches are inadequate, effective solutions demand interdisciplinary collaboration across scientific research, policy development, and community engagement. This special issue, Transdisciplinary Actions on the Impacts of Climate Change on Coastal Society, invites global scholars and practitioners to contribute insights that advance policy relevance, governance innovation, social resilience, multicultural adaptation, and practical marine policy implementation.

Full scope of the Special Issue
